REGULATIONS FOR USE OF THE MEETING ROOM

The Paulding County Library Conference room is available to the public for use only during normal operating hours.

Mon – Thur. 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Attendance at meetings must be limited to the capacity specified. (100)

Open aisles must be maintained within the seating arrangement to provide clear access to exits.

The library cannot be responsible for lost or damaged materials used in exhibits or programs.

The length of time needed for the meeting should include time for setting up the meeting room and
putting it back in order at the end of the meeting.

The Library makes the determination of whether kitchen facilities may be use for light refreshments.

Smoking is not allowed in the meeting rooms.

The individual making the reservation as well as the membership of the group as a whole will be held responsible for any and all damages that may occur as a result of the use of the facilities.

Use of the meeting room is at the sole discretion of the Library Manager.

Permission to use the library meeting rooms may be withheld from groups damaging the room, carpet, equipment or furniture or failing to comply with these rules and regulations. Groups causing disturbances during meetings will be asked to leave.

THE MEETING ROOM MAY NOT BE USED FOR:

                    Private social gatherings such as showers, parties, family reunions, etc.

Commercial meetings or gatherings held for financial gain or furthering a commercial interest except by charitable non-profit organizations.

                    Programs or classes that require a fee for attending.

NO MONIES MAY BE COLLECTED ON LIBRARY PREMISES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE FOLLOWING.

Fund raising events conducted by non-profit groups in which the proceeds will go to the direct benefit of the library.

Dues collected within a non-profit group.

Fees charged by an organization for materials used in a program or for meals served as part of a program.

All programs must be open to the public.

County functions will be given first priority. Other request will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.
